Weekenders' Plans for May

The events organised by either the Lunch Group or the Weekenders Group are open to all U3A members, regardless of whether they are regulars or not. Obviously
places are sometimes limited so it’s first come, first served; I should be grateful if you could let me know if you are interested in these events as soon as possible so that I can let other members know if I have places left.
Eight of us went on a bus pass day out to Derby on 7th April; we used the Amberline from Hucknall which takes an hour and three quarters to get to Derby (!) but we had a good natter on the way, followed by lunch at The Standing Orders (Wetherspoons), a visit to Derby Museum for a Photography Exhibition, then shopping and another hour and three quarters back to Hucknall. The weather was lovely and we were shattered by the time we got home.
Twenty of us had Lunch at Arunothai on 22nd April and as usual we enjoyed a very nice meal (two courses for £7.95). Our Coffee Club/Programme Planning was on 29th April. We are having another Day Out to Stamford on 5th May and Afternoon Tea on 13th May at Morton’s Farm Tearooms in Papplewick.
