Weekenders Plans

At our Coffee Club on March 7th we had a “problem solving” session which started off gently with household tips but got quite opinionated on the subject of crime in Hucknall, immigration, politics and religion! Fortunately we all seemed to come more or less to the same conclusions on all subjects – but we do enjoy our discussions.
Unfortunately our “Bus Pass Day” to Leicester was cancelled due to members dropping out but twenty of us went to Arunothai once again on the 21st March for our Saturday lunch and we had a successful Games Night on 29th March. The subject for our April Coffee Club on 11th will be our Easter recollections and stories
We are having a day trip to Bakewell & Peak District on Monday, 13th April and this departs from Hucknall Market at 8.45 am so please be there for 8.30 am.
Our next Weekenders lunch will be on Sunday, 26th April to Tree Tops at Mapperley, followed by a visit to Brookfield Garden Centre. Please let me have your names and menu choices immediately.
Looking to the future I have booked Lottie’s Secret Tearoom for an Ascot Afternoon Tea on Friday, 12th June at 2 pm at a cost of £13.50 and this is open to any U3A member who wishes to join us, although places are limited to 20.
In July we plan a day trip to Crich Tramway Museum on the 11th and this will cost £14 including admission and transport. There are 16 places and only nine remaining so far.
