Seniors’ Day at The Broadway – 2 showings – 10.30 and 13.30 – for 10.30 show be there by 10.00 to get your free coffee and biscuits and for the the 13.30 (busier) suggested arrival by 12.30 for free coffee and meet up in the cafeteria showings as follows:-
Thursday 10th April – The famous Buster Keeton movie “The General” with added soundtrack.
Thursday 17th April – “Calvary” starring Brendon Gleeson – preceding this film there will be a special 10 minute screening of Discovering Nottinghamshire.
Thursday 24th April – “The Lunchbox” starring Nimrat Kaur and Infan Khan. An Indian film set in Mumbai.
Shakespeare’s King Lear – from THE NATIONAL THEATRE in London. Transmitted live performance of King Lear starring David Jacobi as the king.
Screenings Thursday May 1st at 7.p.m and Saturday May 3rd at 12.00 mid day- Booking in advance essential.
Similarly from The National Theatre on Thursday 22nd May 7.00 p.m.and Saturday 24th May 12.00 mid day come and see “The Curious Incident of The Dog in the Night-time”. Again advance booking is advisable.
The Broadway, on Broad Street is only a 3 min walk from The Lacemarket Tram Stop. Thursday Senior films are £4.30 including coffee and biscuits.
