On the 15th September David Rose led a walk around Felley Priory starting out from the Dog and Quayle at Underwood. Although it started off a little misty the weather soon brightened and thankfully it didn’t get as warm as it was a couple of days before the walk. We were entertained by the snippets of information that David was able to give us about the farm where ‘Sons and Lovers’ was based upon and other little stories about D.H. Lawrence. We then enjoyed a lovely carvery lunch at the Dog and Quayle.
