Eighteen members arrived on the hottest morning so far for an introduction to the French game of Petanque.
The session started with an introduction to the rules and how to throw the ‘ball’, fortunately there were trees to give shelter when members were sat listening. They were then split into four teams and proceeded to ‘have a go’ during the session they did not switch to play against another team as the aim was for a taster to get the feel of the game. The morning finished with refreshments supplied by the Petanque Club, everyone appeared to enjoy the morning.
Thank you to Nottingham Petanque Club for the opportunity to play and thank you to Doreen Peel, one of our members who plays at the Club for her assistance and supplying the orange juice.
