Members unfurled their England flags for the visit on St. George’s Day (April 23rd) to the Market Square to see the St. George’s Day Parade and then for lunch at Yates’ Wine Lodge. Unfortunately I was not well enough to attend and was sorry to miss all the action. However I understand members enjoyed their meal at Yates’ but missed my quiz. Don’t worry; you will get it next month!
If you have not already let me have your menu choices for the Cockliffe Country House Hotel on Burntstump Hill on 28th May, then please do so as soon as possible. The menu is on the U3A website.
We shall be “Up the Junction” on 25th June – The Junction pub at Sutton in Ashfield and I am now taking names. The menu has not yet been received but hopefully it will be available for the next U3A meeting.
I am still taking names for the Christmas Lunch and/or the Pantomime on Wednesday, 17th December. I will be collecting deposits around June/July time.
