Beautiful weather had been requested for the first visit of the year to Newark. Members had chance of a look round the market and the historic town. The Civil War Museum was so good it deserved much more time than allowed.
The next visit is on May 15th, 2019, to Bakewell Museum and Church when the coach leaves Hucknall Market at 10 am – returning at 5.30pm (ish)
The visit to Grimsthorpe Castle on June 19th, 2019, leaves the market at 9 am – returning 6 pm (ish)
The first indoor meeting of the next season in September is at Central Methodist Church at 2 pm. Andy Mckinnon will be telling us about The Great War with a focus on Hucknall.
