Gardening News and Visits

The January meeting took the form of a quiz and also gave members the opportunity to reserve places on the upcoming two trips out.
There are spaces still available to any Hucknall U3A member on the February Trip to Smisby however the ApriL visit to Sheffield Botanical gardens appears to be full ( 50 + members having paid deposits). Tuesday February 17th The Bluebell Arboretum and Nursery at Smisby (Ashby de la Zouch) 10.00 from Ogle Street – 29 seater coach – return about 4.00 p.m.
Tuesday April 21st Sheffield Botanical Gardens 9.30 from Ogle Street – 52 seater Coach.
Our meeting at John Godber Centre on Tuesday March 17th will be a presentation on Ramblers and Climbers (Roses and Clematis) by Stuart Dixon – frequent broadcaster on Radio Nottingham. As usual 2.00 p.m. till 4.00 p.m.
