Christmas Tree comes Fourth

CRAFT GROUP 2 Christmas Tree comes Fourth
Members of Craft Group 2 had been planning and working on the decorations for the Hucknall U3A Christmas tree to be displayed at the Christmas Tree Festival in St Mary’s Church for 10 months. Their work was finally put together on 4th December with the help of the honorary member, Brian Stanley, who had made the tree from wood donated by Woods Timber.
The theme was the 12 Days of Christmas, Dianne White knitted the realistic Partridge, and Rose Ridley sewed the Two Turtle Doves, from fabric used for her wedding dress, Rose also water coloured the Eleven Pipers Piping and made the Lord a Leaping. Three French Hens complete with stripped jumpers and berets were made by Val Kelly, who also made the numbers from felt and the sequinned pears.
