September’s walk was a 6.5 mile walk from Poolsbrook Country Park, near Chesterfield, with 23 of us walking alongside the lake and through the Nature Reserve before proceeding past Arkwright Solar Farm and along footpaths and tracks. Refreshments were taken before embarking upon a woodland walk emerging at Ringwood Lake before the return to Poolsbrook. This was a new walk for our group and enjoyed by everyone.
Thank you to Lynda and Mark Jackson, our walk leaders.
And a special thank you to everyone who helped our injured walker, Janet.
Our next walk, to be led by Philip and Liz Attenborough, is to Breaston, on Monday 16 October
