July Gardening Visit to Repton

Following on from our visit to Coton Manor on June 21st we have confirmed our July Gardening group activity. I hope that you will enjoy the day out as it has been difficult finding a suitable place to visit.
I have planned a visit to Repton which is midway between Derby and Burton on Trent.
We are to visit the home of Robert and Pauline Little at 10 Chestnut Way, Repton
DE65 6FQ www.littlegarden.org.uk
Frequently open to members of the NGS they are opening especially for us on July 19th . Their admission price included in our trip price includes tea/coffee and cakes in the price.
An acre of sweeping mixed borders and mature trees to a stunning butterfly bed, a young arboretum, established prairie. Meet a pair of passionate, practical, compost loving gardeners who gently manage this plantsmans garden. Expect a colourful display throughout the year . Plenty of seats and cover if wet. They have a special interest in viticella clematis and organic vegetables. the garden is on the level with hard paths for difficult walkers ( like me)
Furthermore our plan is to leave Hucknall at 10.00 with first stop at Little Eaton garden Centre where garden shopping and food can be purchased if required. Arriving there at 10.45 and leaving at 11,45 with next stop Willington Marina with shops cafes and boats where we will stay till 1.30 ish before moving on to Repton 2.00 and leaving the garden at 4.00 p.m and back in Hucknall for 4.45. p.m.
The cost of this full day out will be £12 per member which includes the coach fare and garden admission with refreshments in the afternoon visit. Please reserve your place with Judith at our June U3A meeting at the Leisure Centre or on the trip too Coton Manor.
