Garden Group Spring Events

Tuesday April 19th – Return of Mike Davey with a presentation featuring the Gardens of Cornwall and the River Camel 2.00 start at John Godber Centre, Ogle Street, Hucknall – members old and new welcome – admission £2.50
Tuesday May 17th – Visit to NGS garden in Kimberley – 7 Colly Gate NG16 2PJ – Home of Doreem Fahey 0115 192690
Self drive situated behind Sainsbury’s in Kimberley – Drive up side of Sainbury’s turn left at top and drive up High Street to Swingate and Colly Gate is on the right after passing over the by pass road. Please see Judith at April U3A meeting or April 19th Garden meeting if you need or can offer a lift. There is no coach for this short journey. Please add your name to Judith’s list so we know how many members to expect.
Tuesday June 21st – our first main visit of 2016 this time going to Coton Manor (look up on website) This will be by coach from Hucknall Market Place all day trip calling at a Garden Centre on the way. Coton is in Northamptonshire near Junction 18 on the M1.
Admission is £6.50. Coach fare yet to be determined. Light refreshments available. Returning about 5.30 p.m. Again please give your names to Judith at April U3A meeting or Garden Meeting on April 19th. This is a 10 acre garden set in a peaceful countryside setting with old yew and holly hedges with herbaceous borders, containing many unusual plants. Other areas include rose, water herb and woodland gardens and wildflower meadow. Own specialist nursery with over 1000 plant varieties propagated from the garden.
Unfortunately I will not be at April U3A meeting or Garden group meeting due to family holiday.
