Pub Quiz and Lunch March

Twenty-nine of us met for the March Pub Quiz which had a “Cheese & Wine” theme and which was won by “Rose & Jill” (1st prize) and “Mental Blanks” (2nd prize). Unfortunately the Nabb Inn have informed us that the Pub Quiz in future will be confined to the “alcove” area only and therefore this will mean we have to limit numbers to 32. For the moment this will mean only the first 32 arriving will be able to join us for the Quiz and Lunch. We are looking into the possibility of finding a larger venue but we will keep members informed and we should be glad to hear from those regular Pub Quizzers for their thoughts on this. For those who have not yet joined us, the format is that we arrive at the Nabb Inn between 12 noon and 12.15, order & pay for our drinks & lunch at the bar (lunch is optional but we can certainly recommend it for both quality & value for money). Then we get together in a team of up to four people. Don’t worry if you are on your own; there are several teams with less than four members & they would welcome some extra brain power! The subscription per person is £1.
We then have the Quiz, compered by John Peters, after which we have lunch & then the answers. So why not join us on the second Monday of each month for a bit of fun & a bit of brain exercise? You never know, you might learn something new! The April quiz will be on the 11th.
