Lunch Group Forthcoming Plans

A lovely day for twenty-five of us for lunch at The Tree Tops at Mapperley (now re-named The Eating Inn) on 27th May. The Golden Years menu was good value even though some of us needed a magnifying glass to check out the roast turkey! The Gardening Quiz was won by Doreen Werle and Joyce Burton (with Alan Snape not joining in as, being the Co-ordinator of the Gardening Group, he might have had an unfair advantage!
On June 24th we go to Timmerman’s Garden Centre, Woodborough. Please make sure you have paid your deposit and given me your menu choice. We are now full for our July 22nd re-visit to George’s at The Thorn Tree, Woodlinkin. On July 29th we return for a lunch on the Nottingham Princess Riverboat cruise; menu choices and balance of £10 is now due please. Cheques to be made payable to Hucknall & District U3A. Then on Aug. 26th we go to The Hilcote Country Club, Blackwell, South Normanton. Please make sure you get the directions from me as the sat nav directions apparently are not very good and take you in the wrong direction.
I am now starting to take names for the December 16th Albert Hall Christmas Lunch & Dick Whittington panto at Nottingham Playhouse.
The menus for our lunches will be on the U3A website. If you cannot be at the June U3A meeting, you may email your name to go down but please also check the list at the next monthly U3A meeting to make sure it’s down, together with your menu choice. Email on the form below or telephone 0115 8408132.
